Rehabilitation and closure of the landfill for non-hazardous waste “Božino brdo” in Ilok

The project aims to rehabilitate and close the “Božino brdo” waste site. This is a non-hazardous waste site, located in the City of Ilok. The implementation of the project will improve the environment conditions in the wider project area. It will also contribute to the soil and groundwater protection, reduction of air pollution and slow down climate change. The planned rehabilitation will permanently resolve the issue of uncoordinated, non-hazardous waste site. The space will be fully rehabilitated in a legally and environmentally acceptable manner, while future activities will be reduced to proper monitoring and maintenance of the landfill after remediation.
